Thinking About Tomorrow?
Believer how much time and energy do we put into thinking about tomorrow? How much confusion, fear and doubt is caused by our taking thought of what we are going to do, where we are going to be and how we are going to get there? Our Lord Jesus said we cannot add cubit to our statue by thinking about it! Then why do we not believe our Lord who told us “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:33-34) Oh may God give us such grace as to keep us daily seeking only to be found in Christ. (2nd Peter 1:10) Let us walk by faith not trusting what we see or feel but rather trusting in Christ for all our acceptance with God. (Hebrews 10:38) And surely if God has given us the best gift of His Son, how then will he withhold any of the lesser necessities? (Romans 8:32)
