David Hogan

David Hogan claims:

• He raises people from the dead;

• He is thrown supernaturally across rooms into walls;

• He multiplies food;

• He drives his vehicle underwater;

• Angels are assigned to him and have to go where he goes;

• He is miraculously transported from place to place without the aid of planes, trains or automobiles;

• He is invigorated when new demons are unleashed on him;

• A demon has tried to tear out the innards of his child;

• He has a little son who has a hanky that is so anointed he can make people fly just by shaking it at them;

• He has seen limbs grow on limbless people;

• He has seen the creation of new brains in a brainless baby;

• Jesus talks to his dog and horse;

• He has seen people fly around the room under the anointing of God.

The problem is nobody has actually ever seem him do these things!

Hogan said: “I have a pretty serious imagination.”

To that I answer, yes Mr Hogan you seriously do.

“I may be the most simple man you’ve ever met but you ain’t never run into anybody in our generation that has touched as many dead men and let ‘em get up as I have. How does that feel?”

2 Timothy 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:2
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Hogan claimed to go on a 9 month fast, yes that is correct folks, that is not a typing error – 9 months.

Well what happened?
Why didn’t he die?

Let’s let Mr Hogan explain what he claims happened:

“I am ripped off of that bed and slammed into the wall. It was not a demon, it was the Holy Ghost. Revelation knowledge like I have never known in my life began to unfold in my mind. … [I began] writing down pages and pages of revelation knowledge from heaven. … This is the big one!”

Anybody who is familiar with occultic practices, would know this is known as “automatic handwriting”

What is automatic handwriting?

“Automatic writing consists of producing written material by a medium who is not in control of his conscious self. The subject matter is said to be beyond any training, experience or knowledge of the medium.”
(Handbook of Today’s Religions)

Check out this next false claim:

“Now I’m fixing to tell you something that you’re gonna have a hard time with.”

He says there is no part of the human anatomy that he has not seen healed:

“new brains, new hearts, new livers, … dead raising.”

He tells his audience of a baby whose head was split open when its head was dashed on a rock. They left the brains on the rock and brought the brainless baby to the church. After four hours of prayer, the baby came back to life and…

“brains were still on the rock but he got some more now,”

A Mexican man named Alvin LaVaughn Landry was a lifelong friend of Hogan’s and served in Hogan’s mission from 1983-1993. Few have been closer. Landry openly disclosed that:

“David’s problems go way back and he has been telling tall tales his whole life. I have caught him in so many lies that I have lost track.”

He was then asked if Hogan was a pathological liar. Alvin Landry said, “Yes”

Landry says:

“David picks up people to work for him that are insecure or with troubled backgrounds or in a crisis. His main thing is control. He controls like a gang leader. … He uses all kinds of profanity and covers it by saying that you should say all that is in your heart. He has expressed very immoral and vulgar things about women using the rationale that if you say it out, you won’t do it. … He treats women like mules. … His authority can’t be challenged. … Somebody needs to stand up. … He has serious mental problems.”

“No workers at Freedom Ranch have assets. He and his wife are the board and own everything. The board of reference is only on paper and knows little. David has huge assets in his over 200-acre ranch. … When you tell one lie after another like David does, you get hardened. David has no conscience and does not know where the beginning and end is of all the lies. If one person, just one, were raised from the dead, it would be all over the Mexico newspapers. Most people in Mexico have never heard of David Hogan. They only know of him in America and down there no one would believe any of the reports. Sooner or later, believe me, you will see buildings burning in Tempoal just like Waco. David is paranoid and anti-government and he sees his compound as an end time place of survival. With his personal slaves and hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank he knows he will survive. He has huge investments.”

Alvin Landry was then asked if David Hogan’s so called “freedom Ranch” had any parallels to Jonestown, and if David Hogan had any similarities to Jim Jones, he said: “Most definitely.”

2 Corinthians 11:13
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Matthew 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

  1. There are some people in my church getting caught up in David Hogan’s propaganda and i am worried.

    • Yeah. I came across this man recommended by David Bryan. Just watched a session of his from 8 months ago. What a charlatan. I am gobsmacked at the lack of discernment of congrations allowing him in. A number of things bothered me. He was clearly waiting for inspiration from “a spirit” because it took him nearly an hour to get warmed up in his act. And he made several statements that anyone with even a cursory understanding of hypnosis, NLP or even suggestive language could identify how he was lulling his audience to sleep. He used his code word, “Holy Ghost” and would make a spitting noise to put people on a suggestive state. And then he slipped in a pretty occult sounding character as “glowing man” who visited those he laid his hands on. He would also use phrases like, “I’m gonna git ya” as more of the same hypno talk. And then tells tales that are incredibly outlandish like sticking his arm into a lepers pus filled leg. To top it all off, he puts his hand on the pastor and makes an evil looking face and the guy goes into a trance. And what happens? That Holy laughter that Jonathan Edwards warned about over 100 years ago erupts and makes the hairs on your next stand up. Beware of this dude.

  2. I am concerned about people in our church also getting caught up in David hogan. I can not find any info on what he is up to latley. Can anyone help me with this

  3. Many will be deceived in the last days…I have found that yearning for an intimacy with the Lord, seeking Him above all is very important in these last days. Jesus said He never gave Himself to man as He knew what was in man. I have traveled to other nations, and have been in various churches in the US, and the clear message is this. I have seen “ministers of the gospel” ranging from Baptist preachers to Chaplains who say it is OK to have premarital sex! These are people who have had formal seminary or religious training…So we grow strong in the Holy Spirit, renew our mind with the Word of God and seek the Lord with a sincere and open heart. Watch what we listen to because false or wrong teaching can cause destruction easily especially when people without question, accept something because it comes from their denomination. The book of Jeremiah refers to people who fall with their fallen spiritual leaders. Each individual guard your spirit. Jesus was not into denominations. He was into Truth and was the Truth.

  4. We really need people who have worked with David Hogan to step up and tell the truth about what is going on down there in Mexico. Lives are being wrecked and families ruined by this man. Please, if there is anyone who can blow the whistle in this guy, please do!

    • I’m just wondering- because I’m seeking the truth about him, do you know of families that have indeed been ruined by him?

  5. Just need to add something of interest, which was not a biggie to me initially, but after having listened to quite a number of his sermons available for download on the web, and then thereafter doing some research on the guy, a number of things clicked. Let me give you something concrete which will shed an inkling more light on his compulsive lying: In a sermon directed toward an American audience, he claims to speak a number of languages, and that he actually speaks Spanish better than his “hillbilly” English… and then in another sermon directed to an audience in Latin America, he speaks in Spanish – at the same time appologizing for his poor Spanish. His preaching in Spanish was painful to listen to, and would have done better speaking in English with a Spanish translator. I am a missionary in Central America, and therefore communicate mostly in Spanish. I can tell you with certainty that his Spanish is seriously lacking. As I said, it was not a biggie initially for me, and was ready to dismiss that fact… however when you put things into perspective, you understand that as the Bible says, “The devil is the father of all lies”… and it is so perfectly clear to any thinking person that David Hogan follows in the footsteps of his father, which is sonsistent with his very nature.
    It was rivetting listening at first, but then it becomes a little ridiculous after long. It is as bright as day when you consider that “From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

    • 2 Timothy 3:1-17
      1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
      2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
      3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
      4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
      5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
      6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
      7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
      8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;
      9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
      10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
      11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
      12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
      13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
      14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
      15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
      16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
      17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  6. Hogan recently visited my church to much acclaim.

    He spoke at night and I originally wasn’t going to go because of a night job I was holding down, but several friends in my church who’d heard him preach before insisted I go, telling me very detailed accounts regarding his raisings of the dead, and healings which have resulted in completely regenerated organs. Skeptically, the first thing I thought was, ‘If I really raised somebody from the dead, especially with the consistency he does, I would start documenting or filming the occurrences.’

    So I went on my friends insistence, and his testimonies were less extreme this time. A woman re-grew a missing internal organ, and some young sisters were healed of complications resulting from their mother’s drug use during pregnancy.

    I’m a believer of miraculous healing, but the more extreme healings of Dave Hogan seem over the top for me. My church wholeheartedly goes along with what he says, so I don’t ask the obvious questions like “can somebody whose been raised from the dead by Hogan’s healing come forward with a death certificate?”

    Part of the issue, as has been mentioned, is that most of the dramatic healings take place in the settings of very remote places. For instance, the little known Mexican province of Chiapas Mexico, which Hogan emphatically described as a mountainous region with many towns who’ve never heard of Jesus or his gospel. I don’t know what he meant, but Chiapas has a heavy catholic influence dating back almost 400 years. It’s a small inconsistency, but I feel that someone who attests to a gift as powerful as raising the dead should be subject to close examination of speach.

    Anyone with more to share, please do.

    • our church has had Hogan speak three times and his stories seem believable, but then where is the documentation the proof? the pastors wife teaches that people levitate and float in David’s church and what are we going to do when our members of our congregation start to float or levitate? Hogan states they have to tie ropes to their feet to keep them from floating away. I was rebuked for one hour on the phone for questioning Rick Joyners participation in Knights of Malta on Facebook by my pastors wife and that I shouldn’t question things publicly because it’s not showing love and instead I should pray for him and the likes and not say things critical openly.

      • I’m so tired if people not asking God themselves about what is going on. It’s called discernment. Also the love covers thing is used as a weapon to hurt those who would tell about abuses in the church. Paul turned a guy over to Satan to save his soul. So I say to Rick Joyner and every leader we are not dumb sheep and have the right to ask questions of our leaders, without being shamed or battered by it. I know nothing of this guy, but I do know a question is not being critical.

    • I also had the same doubts, being from South Africa, i laugh at the idea that 600 people raised from the dead in a remote village cannot be reached, except by David. We had something similar in Nigeria, to us a remote place, but wow the TV crew was there in a flash! Imagine something like this in Mexico, I mean you know the location of the village, so would the TV crew, hungry for news not be there, they can go anywhere!

  7. David Hogan is the greatest man of God to have ever lived, he has seen more miracles then any person on earth because he has such a great love for jesus. Any man that would persecute that man, persuctes God. Be ye warned now, don’t speak evil towards God’s kids, or to hell you will go.

    • that’s the biggest lie and you have believed it! he is false and those following his lies should beware! where is the proof of his miracles?

    • you do not go to hell for speaking evil towards Gods “Kids”. There is only one thing that sends a person to hell. That is to reject Jesus and his death on the cross. Anyone who claims to do what this man says he does would have people following him around everywhere he goes. They would worship him like they did Jesus and there would be at least SOMEONE besides him and his family who would confirm what he claims to be true.
      If a person actually was doing all these wonderful things anywhere in the world it would be on every cell phone in the world in no time at all. Show me the beef.

    • You are severely brainwashed! This man is a compulsive liar. Nothing he claims has an ounce of proof! Period

      • If you question the authenticity of his ‘raising the dead’ claims then the church leadership of the Assemblies of God will back David Hogan as a ministry that they support, even though he claims to have been present personally at ’28 resurrections from the dead’-including his own adopted son. Also I have been to his meetings where he has publicly claimed that 1000 resurrections from the dead have been performed in Mexico under his leadership since he began his ministry there in Mexico. !000! he then goes on to say that this is proof that he is in the authority of God and that nobody can question his teaching because of it. He provides no personal details whatsoever of any of his claims, the testimonies are untraceable except his adopted sons testimony. The testimony of the foot growing back miraculously is also untraceable. no names, no dates, no location specified nothing! David Hogan is a fraud and a very dangerous cult leader that if you question will have you ostracized by the other loons in the Charismatic and pseudo- Pentecostal church scene.. The power of the Pentecostal spiritual gifts are still available, I myself have been healed of Gangrene of my arm by God in a hospital in front of Doctors and nurses and yes it is on record and traceable to Modbury Hospital Adelaide Australia, I thank God for the testimony He has given me. But with deceivers like David Hogan and Todd Bentley all of their claims are untraceable and not verified. That doesn’t mean that you always require medical proof many times God works off the record because the system is opposed to faith, But 1000 risings from the dead? at least more than this adopted sons testimony should be provided to maintain credibility. I think where large sums of money, perks and properties are involved that people like David Hogan and Todd Bentley are susceptible to falling into the sin of Balaam, i.e doing it for the money! That is they are liars and wolves.

  8. I saw David Hogan twice at Vine Life Church in Bartlesville, OK. Although there were people there in need of healing, and one in a wheelchair, I saw no evidence of healings, or even felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, as I’ve experienced many times in other services. There was little preaching from the word of God, and no prophecy or Word’s of knowledge. Mostly, during both services it consisted mostly of Hogan’s extraordinary claims of his own spiritual exploits, which went unsubstantiated. Beloved, test the spirits to see if they are of God.

  9. David Hogan has preached (if you can call all that bragging preaching) at our local church many times. Several groups have gone down for a few years for short term mission work and one became a missionary with him for 6 months or more. None of them have ever seen any miracles happen in Mexico other than a bunch of Mexicans falling out. They were basically worked as slaves while they were there.

  10. The church that I WAS going to believed in the guy david hogan. The pastor of that church worked with him for 10 years or more. I tryed to tell the pastor about the deception of this man, but I was sturnly rebuked by the pastor. He said I needed prayer because I had (spirits) on me. Well, as you probably can figure out, I recently left and I don’t plan on going back. But I do feel sad for the blindness of the pastor and his flock. I am so glad I am not a part of that ;-)

    • Same happened to me! I honestly researched this man , in my experience as a lawyer for many years, just giving you an idea, Paul is strict on not boasting, but to my astonishment my pastor said I should not speak like this about a man of God , a curse can come on me and my family. I obviously am not at that church anymore. As for the curses, Galatians 3 is my song of joy! I choose to be under King Jesus.

  11. How different is this guy from a David Koresh? If this man visits MY church, I’ll run, honey, RUN!

  12. He is scheduled to come to New Life Church in Dothan Alabama weekend of 23 October. I will not attend and hope others are wise enough to test the spirits

  13. He came to our church this weekend. I am deeply grieved that my church pastor leaders would invite him and be decived by him in the way they have. I am worried for my fellow believers and the quick turn our church horrendous turn. We have all been decieved and I for one am repenting to God for allowing this deceptional teachings into my life and family. He had people in the congregation get up and throw a cloth or a piece of their clothing or whatever they wanted to on the ground so he could roll on it and give it the “power” needed to heal people. Since when do we look to a man to get spiritual power? Where did Jesus go? PLEASE WAKE UP!!!! Please seek the word of God for truth in all things. We are living in the days when many will be deceived by pastors, teachers, leadership and through each other. Jesus will give you the truth if you will just seek it!!!! Pray together for all of us worldwide and for our leadership, pastors and fellow believers. We must pray for each other!

    • I was there as well…there were too many things wrong biblically with the whole “show.” I honestly and sincerely wanted to experience God and the Holy Spirit…what we got was a nice side-show. I believe there were many there who needed help and he offered endless testimonies of himself and nothing more. I am also disappointed in the leadership to allow David Hogan up there as if he was Jesus Himself.

  14. So how does this racket work? Do churches pay him to appear?

    He’s clearly a complete fraud, but apparently if you lie inside a church people are more likely to believe you. If he was on a streetcorner, wearing a sandwich board and proclaiming his miracles, I doubt as many people would believe him.

  15. Heard him “speak” last night at my church. WOW, people I have held in high regard and who I have respected think he is really something. But as I am seeing is a pattern with him, he doesn’t preach from the word and is just a big show off. He kept “seeing” sparklies on the carpet claiming they were diamonds, the pastor weht along with it. I couldn’t believe it. Definitely got a bad feeling. He spoke like he really didn’t even know what he was talking about. Think I might go again tonight and just pray for the congregation that their eyes would be opened and they would see who he really is.

    • So, David kept seeing, “sparklies” on the carpet, and no one else did? It’s becoming all too obvious the emperor has no clothes, and the organized church has become so powerless, clueless, and lacking of discernment they’ll fall for the latest carnival side show, hook, line and sinker. The church of Jesus Christ is at a very low ebb. We need to get back to praying for the sick ourselves and seeing them recover instead of tossing money to merchandizers of the gospel who claim to have produced healings and miracles. This is a pathetic state of affairs for the Body of Christ to be in during these perilous times when a sick and dying world is in need of the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.
      I attended David’s meetings as a guest at a church twice back in the mid 90’s. I hesitate to call them “services”. There was no anointing whatsover in those services, and sick and crippled people left like they came. I too would like to believe, but there are just too many things that don’t add up.

      • he was at our church several times as well “seeing sparkles” and picking them up putting them in his pocket. we sat in the very front row and nothing we could see was on the ground. He didn’t speak from the bible but told his stories and exploits. No miracles done.

      • Barb. That is really good insight about us connecting with God for ourself and with other believers in prayer. I believe as God tells us in His Word that He places pastors, teachers, etc. However I feel too that the Body of Christ is putting to much attention on these positions to supply their needs, instead of praying ourselves and understanding our Lord Jesus. May God call us to Himself and give us insight so we know the truth.
        As far as David Hogan goes. My brother saw him in the late 90’s when he was attending Brownsville School of Ministry in FL. I saw the DVD’s and thought they were inspiring to know God more.

      • I HEARD HIM to were da pastor was doing da intepertation was English den Spanish. .wen i heard him say..he didn’t care wat da bible SD. .den sugar coated with da theologians. .
        DAT WAS A HUGH..RED FLAG..
        CUZ CHRIST IS DA WORD..

  16. I don’t want to speak against the man (I have met him, heard him speak numerous times, and have friends who love and respect him). But I’ll offer some of my observations as others here have done, hopefully without unjust negativity or fleshly criticism.

    First of all, I want to say that I WANT to believe his stories. If God is using someone in that measure of power then it’s awesome and inspiring. I do believe the Gospel accounts of the power of Christ not only to calm the storm, walk on water, command limbs to grow out and open blind eyes, but yes, also to raise the dead.

    I heard David speak earlier this year (2011) numerous times during a conference being held by a church in the Southern Hemisphere. I’ll avoid mentioning the exact name of the church and conference here for certain reasons of annonymity.

    My observations of his person were:
    – He is older now…almost definitely in his 60’s.
    – He still wears very thick, tinted glasses (although he took them off to preach)
    – He still wears Western-wear clothing, including the occasional big belt buckle, jeans and boots
    – To me, he seemed a very loveable man (much softer now, or less rough around the edges [apparently] then he used to be). He seemed strong, bold, daring and loving.
    – He was physically very strong and lean when I saw him. Not the kind of man you would want to get into a fight with when he was having a bad day!

    His style of speaking from my observation was as follows:
    1. Pace back and forth
    2. Stare at particular people in the audience (in my case, it was the pastor in the front row directly on my left)
    3. Tell many stories (and yes, talk about himself quite a bit, and how “aggressive” he is)
    4. Use the occasional slide-show containing pictures from places he visited around the world (not just Mexico, but also Europe and Africa)
    5. Create a picture in the minds of the audience of what it is to live the Gospel in modern times in the same measure and power of the Spirit of God as did the early apostles.
    6. Confront or “get under the skin” of the audience, stirring up some sort of reaction or response.
    7. Create an expectation in the audience that what was spoken of in the stories could also happen to them through him.

    Unfortunately, having attended 2-3 of his meetings over a 3 day period, I failed to witness (to my recollection) any actual healing or miracle take place. One lady apparently got healed (I saw the lady, and him ministering to her, but not the miracle…did she really get healed?). Those that came in wheelchairs left in the same. Certain specific ailments were called out from the platform during the post-speaking ministry time during which he, along with others such as his son-in-law and the pastor hosting the conference layed hands on people and prayed for people. One such ailment was allergies. No one that I saw, including myself (I have dust-mite allergies) got healed of allergies, or any other specific ailment that was called out for that matter. After having gone up to the front for prayer at least three times, I stopped bothering going up for prayer, because I wasn’t getting healed of anything.
    David layed hands on me and prayed for me in the prayer line (they line you up at the front along the stage, and he walks along the stage steps, laying hands on and praying for people). Many fell down to my right and my left and behind me. He layed hands on me at least twice, but no healings or falling took place. I did, however, feel some sort of definite power when he layed hands on me. It made me feel very strong (like him) and empowered.

    I have a friend who is an American missionary to Mexico, quite famous in some parts (not just missionary but also previous pastor, discipleship school leader and conference speaker). I asked him about David Hogan. He said that all the people that he had talked to in Mexico about David had either never heard of him, or thought that he was a myth. He seemed to imply that maybe David was a liar. But he had never met any eye-witnesses to the miracles that are associated with David’s ministry, nor had he ever heard of any of the 10,000+ churches or their pastors apparently associated with David’s ministry. (During the conference David claimed he was a part of a network of churches approximately 10,000 strong, over which he resided or helped reside apostolically).

    I knew another man, who I had met in Chicago, who lived with David and his family for a brief period of time. He liked David and David’s ministry. When I asked him if he had seen any dead raised he replied no, but that he had heard stories of it happening in other places. He said that David and his wife (and this was back in the 90s) would fast every other day, and that David would work out (pump iron) every day.

    I have scoured the Internet trying to find any sort of proof of whether David’s miraculous stories can be substanciated or not. Besides a few posters who claim that they saw God heal people through David, I haven’t seen anything. Most posters seem to fall into one of two categories:
    1. AGAINST David Hogan (calling him a pathalogical liar, a fraud, a heretical deceiver, etc etc)
    2. DEFENDING David Hogan, almost always based on HIS testimony, but unable to produce any evidence besides their limited testimony substanciating the stories we all hear.

    IF YOU HAVE EVIDENCE VALIDATING ANY OF DAVID HOGAN’S MIRACULOUS CLAIMS, POST LINKS HERE PLEASE!

    Many (such as myself) would like to know, either way, if this guy is in fact a pathalogical liar and a fruad (as so many say that he is), or whether he’s a genuine modern apostolic minister that’s seeing and doing all the things that we’ve heard him say.

    (BTW: I’m sure that many of you will think of me a gullible sucker for even writing those last two lines. But I believe that our heart attitude should always be to hope and believe the best about some until proven otherwise. I for one haven’t seen enough proof [besides a few posts, which could have been uploaded by liars themselves] to be sure that David is a fraud)

    • It should be fairly easy to get a list of 100 out of the 10,000 churches that he started. I, being a pastor myself, would be happy to call the pastors of 100 churches to see if David actually started the churches or not.

      Anyone have any idea how to get the list of 100 churches ? That is only 1% of what he is claiming. It should be easy to get, if there is any truth to Davids claims.

      Thank you all for your posts.

      John Miller PhD

      • Dear John, I find it interesting that he claims numbers without any specifics. If he has started 1000 churches then he should be able to give the names of the churches. To me it isn’t about verifying his claims. He does not glorify God, but only himself. I have chosen to have nothing to do with him but if you really want to get the information perhaps you can put a notice on Facebook asking for any churches that he started could connect with you. I did contact the news in Denver Colorado and tried to get someone interested in following his story to verify what he is saying is true and never received a response. Blessings on your journey.

      • I appreciate your investigative approach to understand the truth in all this. I would love to hear some first hand testimonials also. I have to to say thought that in the videos I have seen of David that He definitely gives all the credit to Jesus for any and all healings. He seems vary genuine to me and I am actually inspired to know God better because of listening to this person.

      • I don’t think Mr. David Hogan is a liar. He’s confabulating. The person suffering from this disease makes up stories and is so sure that they took place he would die, he is telling the truth. He integrates these imaginary stories into his life so deeply that he is not aware that they never happened.

      • That rate of church planting (10,000 churches) equates to 1 church per day for 27 years. Think about it. Just listen to this redneck speak though. When does he ever quote Bible verses? Are we really supposed to believe he’s a church planter? He’s an absolute fraud.

  17. We need to keep our eye’s on Jesus and not man. Many will say in that Day, Lord we cast out deamons in Your name, Healed the sick and raised the dead. He will respond ” I never knew you”. It is a relationship of love between Yeshua and His bride that all these things take place. God does Not share His Glory with anyone. The Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Get’s all the glory honor and praise for all things in heaven and earth. Amen and Amen. Brother’s and sister’s, be carefull of another gospel. They will rise in the end of day’s to deceive many and IF IT WERE POSSIBLE even My very elect, He said. If it were possible means that the one’s who are listening to Yeshuas voice will not listen to the voice of another. “My sheep hear My voice and will Not fallow the voice of a stranger.” Listen to what the Lord say’s about David Hogan and then obey the voice of the Lord. There is nothing else that can be said about this matter. We All will stand before the judgement seat of Christ and give an account of what we did in this life. Make sure you are hearing from The God of the Word.

    • Satan is a deceiver, acting like he’s YESHUA..disguised as da angel of LITE .. remember HE’S always bin JEALOUS. an wanted to be like GOD. .dats why HE N his angels got thrown out of HEAVEN !!! Came to destroy n to steal…. WE NEED TO PRAY N pray. .witout seizing. .in dis last DAYS

  18. may the judgement of God almighty come upon this endtime liar and deceiver. AMEN AND AMEN.

  19. I was pressured into going to see this bozo a few years back. My wife of course likes to believe everything under the sun is of God, God bless her soul. Butt, Butt, Butt I have to say this guy desecrated the pulpit with some “injun” dance along with some of the most ungodly chants I have ever heard (hair raising, not the Holy Ghost hair raising either). His sermon, if you want to call it that, was based on God is a jealous God and a consuming fire but outside of that there was no more Bible reading. He did brag on himself the whole service-“Hogan The Hero”(great article). I spent alot time chuckling at bozo as he carried on in his ungodly ways, this act kept my wife elbowing me. He talked about raising one of his kids from the dead when they were an infant. He said he layed the dead baby on the kitchen table any walked around the table praying and each time he came to the feet of that baby he would thump its foot with his finger until the baby finally came back to life. He did stare coldly at me alot during his so called sermon trying to intimidate me. He prayed for people of course and from my viewpoint nobody got up out of there wheelchair aka “Benny the Hinn”, although a few did get pushed over (around) by this fraud. Once he had finished praying he acted as if he so exhausted that church workers had to help him to his seat.

    Seriously, this guy is fraudalent and should not be given a pulpit speak in or be endorsed by any respected church leader. He may have started out well but what is hindering him now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. In Bible college, a group of students went down to Mexico to minister with David Hogan on a missions trip. (Everyone worshipped this guy and wanted to be like him). One kid came back rather disillusioned by what he saw. The team didn’t see any miracles occur. He said David was a rather a foul mouthed person. At one point David Hogan told the male students, “Don’t come near my house tonight, because I will be in there ‘banging’ my wife.” My friend, was like, “What?! this guy is out of his mind.”
    The teachers at school acted like he was some sort of god, even though none of the miracles could be proven. And I like everyone really wanted to believe…
    But things got even weirder when classmates in my apartment complex lost their baby and literally kept it’s dead body in their apartment for 3 days praying over it like David Hogan had preached at our school. Finally the school president called the authorities.
    There was a teacher at our school who had worked with Hogan for 10 years. But never talked about it, ever. You would think if he had witnessed hundreds of people brought back to life, he would want to talk about it ( I would anyway). Finally in private we asked him if he ever saw the miraculous or dead raised when he work in Mexico? His one sentence answer: “No I never did.” He didn’t elaborate at all. But that was enough for me…
    Recently I saw photos of a couple from that same bible college who now work for him in Mexico. In the pictures the wife looks depressed. I really felt sorry for them. I feel like they are trapped in a cult and don’t even know it. I wish I could contact them and tell them it is okay to leave, that he has no control over them. But the only way to contact them is through David Hogan’s headquarters.

    • Now it all makes sense to me. David Hogan said people put clothes and cloths infront of his feet so the cloth will be blessed. He or his staff will pray over the items and that when they are taken back and put it over the sick, the sick are healed. Well, the cloths I put there to be blessed and sent to many friends were useless. None of them including me, were healed. So I watched the sermon over You-Tube and saw that he could not even “floor” ONE person in the audience! I had watched him over You Tube and was CONVINCED that he was the real MCcoy, but the latest videos show him really lagging like he was losing power. I also noticed he gave examples of his healings over and over again. In EVERY taping, he said the same thing, how he healed these few particular old ladies and the indon lady with the up turned arm etc. I then started to question my sanity and belief in him. Its not nice to gossip, I know that. I truly truly believed that his prayer cloths could heal. I even doubted my faith, scolding myself for being a Thomas. Can it be he is now a big business man and have no time for Jesus and the healing ministry? Does an unrighteous person lose everything if they walk the wrong path? Is that why his wife seldom want to say anything when he invites her to speak to the crowd? I remember on the rare occasion that she spoke, she said that when she started out seeking Jesus, she prayed for 5 minutes in the morning, the next day 10 minutes and after gradually seeking Him, she could feel the power of the Holy Spirit engulfing her. Was she trying to tell us we need not wait to get blasted by her husband, but in the quiet prayer time we spend with Jesus seeking Him, we will receive the Holy Spirit? Before this, I was praying God that I could attend one of his sermons. For some reason or another, I never could go. I think God is protecting me from this man. If I am wrong, I do repent for my sinful thoughts.

    • Wow! That is really crazy to hear this. Is or was that school Brownsville?

  21. I too have the same thoughts as most of you. The 1st time I heard him on youtube something didnt click. So, like many of you, I researched and researched and could not find out one thing to back up some of the things he is saying happened. I kept listening for a revelation of the word that he would share, and finally just let the truth sink in…..he does not share from the word of God, he just tells about all the miracles, signs and wonders,that “he” has performed,,,,always somewhere else. I kept looking to see if any in the meetings were healed or got out of a wheelchair and thinking…if this man flows in this kind of anointing, surely someone is out there needing a healing or deliverance or something, and surely he will know that and call them out. Nothing. These are the days were many will be deceived, but we are so desperate for signs, etc. we just forget that the whole time he is talking, do we really hear “Jesus, the blood, or the cross” mentioned? We are to lift Jesus up, not ourselves or what He is doing through us as to bring glory to ourselves. The scary thing is he runs in the circles of well-known ministries that we all have partaken of and I am wondering….Lord, how can they not see through this man. (if nothing else note that he is not sharing the word of God) Most people will say, this is judging without really knowing what it is themselves. I do know that when we see something wrong and do not warn others, it is the same as to agreeing with error. Why are there no evidence, why isnt some magazine article written with verifiable testimonies. Every number of the dead being raised is different on every writing ( it’s now up to 500) one would think with this many raised, surely there would be a written article from someone. THis only makes me feel sad, that we are so easily deceived. If something shows up in the future, I for one will have to ask for forgiveness,,,,,if not, I trust this will cause our eyes and attention to become fixed upon Jesus!

  22. I worked with Hogan for several years (as a missionary with Freedom Ministries) and am still close to several, who worked with him during the same time period, NONE of which are still with him.
    I finally was lied to enough by him to leave. Of course, he labeled me as a ‘devil’ as he does everyone that leaves him. And make no mistake, I was in the inner circle with him and spent years in the jungles of Mexico right along side him, so I AM qualified as a witness to his claims.
    My take on David Hogan after several years with him is that he is, and has been for several decades, out of control and held accountable by no one.
    He wants to be ‘somebody’ so bad that he’s willing to spin these false claims to bolster his image. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of those needing, and looking for, the real thing. He is an actor and a story teller. Jesus is the real thing.
    I thought he would finally see what he was doing and gradually make a change, but he has only gotten worse. It boggles the mind that good christian people are drawn in by him.
    If you want to see if he is for real, cut his money off, as this has become his motivation. If God is with him, HE will TRULY perform a miracle, and I will stand corrected.
    He once boasted that he was going to be given 6 BILLION dollars, yes – “6 BILLION with a B”. AND, this money was going to come from, what was known at that time as, the G7 SANCTION. There was a couple of years of mysterious meetings surrounding this 6 BILLION dollar story, but he would never reveal any of his contacts or sources. Several of us finally realized that he had become, among other things, mentally incapacitated.
    These type stories have no end, and it continues to this day. It sickens me that I was so dumb to believe him for so long. However, it was a lesson in discernment, and for that, I am thankful to God!

    • Oh no, really? This is terrible…but how can this be, when I swear I felt God’s presence after he prayed for me once in Adelaide. Was he going well then, or is it tha to give someone like him a chance to repent, He still uses them for a while? Like on occasion, even when Saul was chasing David to kill him, he ended up prophesying! Yet his heart never changed…?

      • All you have to do is visit his work, document a true dead raising, and present it to the public. Ask yourself… WHY has this NEVER been done by Hogan or any of his supporters/followers? Better yet, do it right here in the USA… We’re waiting…

      • I KNOW HIM WELL… Start asking specific questions and he will run from the conversation. The dead can be raised, the sick can be healed, but to lie about it to advance your ministry’s financial support is a whole other situation.

    • WOW!!! This is sad to hear. Thank you for sharing. Have to pray for this guy, his family and everyone involved!

    • that David may have some issues in his character in one thing, but are you saying that you have never seen any miracles, no healings and never heard of a single resurrection from all your years down there? This is very serious

    • Was there a video you saw where he made this claim about being offered 6 billion by a group known as the G7 Sanction? Would love to hear exactly what he said about this. Thank you

  23. If we as evangelical Christians can’t rebuke a false prophet of this magnitude how can we have victory in our churches let alone our lives?
    The Word must be learned and memorized to counter these weird claims.

  24. Acts 13:9-12 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
    9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
    10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
    11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
    12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
    Acts 8:9-22
    But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
    10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
    11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
    12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
    13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
    14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
    15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
    16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
    17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
    18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
    19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
    20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
    21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
    22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
    23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
    Here are two incidences in the Bible of people who were proclaiming to do works and miracles by the power of God and who were deceived. These people were actually able to do the miracles they said they could, but it was still false and not from God.
    Anyone who has a pastor or church leader that tells them not to ask questions and not to seek the truth always should remind that pastor and leader that the scripture tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5 to be sober and watch always, to understand the times we are living in – “For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night” (verse 7). We are to exhort each other, strengthen each other through prayer and love and study fervently keeping our focus on Jesus Christ and not on the works of any man.
    Stay strong and vigilant all of you, I pray continually for all of our brothers and sisters around the world that as the days shorten and even more deceivers come we will all be watchers and ready with the wisdom and discernment of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

  25. My husband and I (we’re both Spirit-filled believers) attended a David Hogan “performance” last night in the Dallas metro area. I concur with the prevailing view of this man. What I witnessed was very little sharing of the Word and whole lot of Mr. Hogan sharing “tall-tales” in a fashion reminiscent of Uncle Si of Duck Dynasty. The way he worked up his audience’s favor and dissed any potential doubters was scripted. He told a ridiculous tale of how he was offered “billions” not “millions” mind you, to sign up with an unnamed Christian broadcasting firm which wanted to “make him famous” but alas God’s truth cannot be bought (that much is true). Totally ludicrous to accept this claim when you consider the magnitude quoted. He also told a tall tale of he and his wife escaping Mexian warlords and have a dozen AK47’s at point blank range by the power of the HG. What about Christ’s admonition during His temptation to not put God to a foolish test which is what two Americanos at night on a Mexican highway most certainly was. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that God might still use him in spite of his penchant for exaggeration. Stayed for quite awhile to watch for evidence of any healings and saw the same needy, hurting people leave as had come in. Not one healing did we witness. Mr. Hogan was shouting out “Fire of the Holy Ghost” while waving a bandana or trying to slay folks (more like shoving them down).

    What also bothers me is how that no church could work with JGLM (Curry Blake) in providing a building for this and money towards a Holiday Inn conference room had to be wasted instead. Makes a person wonder. Lastly I question how many of our Spirit led leaders the likes of Bill Johnson (who I do respect) endorse this guy, at least in the sense that they will share a pulpit at a conference with him. Makes you wonder where discernment is in this Laodicean era. I for one am looking for this last end time move of God (have seen much of it prophetically in dreams) and know that it will not manifest itself in the manner I saw last night. The show goes on tonight for those of you who want to evaluate it for yourselves. Praise God for the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

    • Thank you for your report about the meeting.
      What do you think of JGLM (Curry Blake)? What is your experience with this ministry?

      • I have visited the church twice. Curry was there for one of our visits. I believe he has a heart for the community and is interested in getting the “church” out feeding the world rather than resting in pews which I myself am far to comfortable doing. He uses more scripture in one message than my mega church pastor uses in 6 months. I have a teen daughter however that I just don’t think could make it thru one of Curry’s sermons – her eyes would glaze over from info overload – which is why I believe hubby and I will attend alone as we can. But I digress .

      • A relative and his wife and kids are part of Hogan’s inner circle. Currently, they are visiting every church in the state “fleecing the flock” to no doubt support Hogan’s lifestyle. They live in a shanty shack but go to the ranch regularly to work. It saddens me that my family can’t see what a fraud this guy is and have alienated the rest of us because we think it’s a cult. Many years back my uncle offered to buy this family member a truck, but Hogan demanded it be put in his name. Then, my family member tried to drive it under water because if Hogan could he could, too–It sank. Whoops. The point, though, is that all property and money goes to Hogan no matter who the intended recipient is. Needless to say, everyone stopped sending money to Mexico.

    • Birds of a feather do fly together. Please do not have anything to do with any one who would stand on the same stage with this man. I.E. the likes of Bill Johnson, Todd Bentley etc. Sadly Bill Johnson actually has done much to promote both of these liars and thieves.

  26. Thank you for all your comments I appreciate it God be with our church !!! As he is visiting South Africa and our Church in August !!!! I don’t know why I just had to look his name up as I don’t know him and come on to this website and I am glad I did !! I watched his Post on yotube on the healing of the muslim women !!! But yes it was all about him nothing no honor to God !!

  27. As an evangelist /preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and as someone whom has been physically healed the idea that healing power is within reach to those who will believe is exciting, especially when you love people and love souls. But after only a brief time of fasting and prayer God spoke to me through his word and was confirmed up several posts today. This man is not who he says he is..The spirit of the Lord is NOT upon him it is another spirit. Many seek gifts for the sake of having them, some seek for fame or money but for those who truly seek and know God through the blood of his son. My heart aches for the back-slidden, the sinner and the hurting. I fully believe not because I have been healed that healings are for today but because his word is clear and God not a man that he should lie.Bu this man, is an enemy of the cross plain and simple. Seek God will all diligence and he is faithful to lead into all truth.The question is when he does speak will we listen,,,

    • Carlos…. thank you for sharing this. You are an inspiration with your love for Jesus and His truth. You make me want to seek God more and research this further. My brother knew some guys who went to David Hogans mission for a short time. They were young men around 20, they came back upset and disappointed. They claimed to be treated roughly, made to work challenging manual labor and not given water when thirsty. I never have meet Mr. Hogan however Gods Word says that Love is the greatest and we can tell people by their fruit. I truly believe that we are all doing our best to know God, have Him in our lives in a very real way, and treat people as God wants us to. We all have a lot of growing to do.

    • Dear Carlos, I have experienced the same sense and have been relieved to find this thread! I am soooooooooo grieved in my spirit about it as I know precious people like Bill Johnson and Heidi Baker have been taken for a ride by this. MY earnest prayer is for the Lord to expose it to them! I am praying that the Lord is no longer defamed by deception in relation to this. Lord have mercy!

      • Ruth, you must look up the New Apostolic Reformation – this is a movement that all of these leaders are in together – they are of the same mystical gnostic ideologies and are deceiving many – please do research on this.

  28. Dear brothers and sisters, I was searching any information or video materials about the miracles about which Mr. David Hogan tells everywhere. I started feel a strong feeling, that it’s strange , that nobody never seen the miracles which he doing how he tells by forces of the God and I prayed , that the God would open me who this person. I am Russian , but I live in US in CA. I have a very sick brother in Moscow, doctors diagnosed him schizophrenia. Russian & Ukrainian confessions truly & completely believe to words Mr. Hogan. Ya watched his sermons for Russian people with translated on Russian language they absolutely different from sermons-concert for American people. For Russian people a little humor not how for American people. I called to the office of Mr Hogan on phone which in his website is written and his daughter answered to me , she spoke with me like people speak in business office with their clients. I explained my problem with my brother and asked , that Mr Hogan would help to my brother would pray for him , if possible through skype. But Mr Hogan daughter explained to me , that they have so many calls , that they not able help to each sick person. She a little prayed with me. She did not give any advices , did not invited on sermon of healing. Nothing like this. If I will tell in Russian confessions , that Mr Hogan deceiving , that he & his people raised 500 of the dead and also that it is a deceit that at people grown limbs but his sermons (mostly believers in Russia and Ukraine truly believing in this) , they will tell , that I have an evil spirit. I was reading a many forums and i did not find an any proving miracles of Mr Hogan. Opposite I think what he says in his sermons sins in front of the God, especially , if he deceive people.

    • Dear Marina, I am so sorry to hear that so many are being deceived by Hogan.
      Please do not be discouraged. God is a healing God and we find healing through the Word and through the blood of Jesus Christ – not through a man!
      Jesus Christ is the healer and the Bible tells us to pray to Him for all things.
      Our focus must always stay on Christ and our trust must always be in Christ and not in any man! Your prayers are just as powerful as anyone else’s prayers because our prayers are powered by the Holy Spirit. There isn’t anyone on this earth that is powerful in themselves and if they say they are they are a liar and against the truth of the Bible.
      Also please read Acts 13 the story of Bar-Jesus who Paul accuses of trickery, deceit and of perverting the ways of Christ. That is what Hogan has done. He is a deceiver and a perverter of the ways of Christ.
      My friend, read the Bible earnestly, pray to Christ always seeking truth and pray for healing as the Holy Spirit does live in you and everyone can pray for healing! Christ will power your prayers and if it is His will your friend will be healed!
      I will be praying for all of you!
      Blessings

  29. As a child, I lived for a brief period of time on Mr. Hogan’s compound in the Raymondville, Texas area. The experience still leaves me questioning and feeling unsettled. I do not remember exactly how long I was there but my guess is that it was for about 6 weeks. I was only about 9 or 10 years old at the time. Family members came to collect my mother and me late at night. I remember that they had to “bust us out”. I cannot attest to any of his claims. I can only say that I was so relieved to finally drive away with my aunt when she came to “rescue” me. It was such a surreal experience.

  30. If what he says is true (people being raised from dead), then he should prove it to others or what is he afraid of?? Maybe he wouldn’t be getting his pockets padded with cash anymore. A news reporter or someone not associated with his ministry whatsoever, a skeptic, should follow him for one year and record his “healings” and people being “raised” from the dead. He should go to morgues, funerals and hospitals. If he is not a fraud, he will have at least one “verified” healing in one year. He would not be up for this challenge I’m sure because he is a egotistical, money grabbing fraud!! He is deceiving many unfortunately. Where is the visible proof???? There is none. False religion is a great way to make a living!!

  31. Thank you for this site. Very well done and needed. Feeling sorry for the many churches that have filled up David Hogan’s itinerary. Amazing that so many good churches would have this man speak.

  32. Driving under water? Transporting like on the TV show “Star Trek”? Jesus talking to animals? I mean think about it people! Has a man of God ever done things like these?
    It’s so ridiculous it strains credulity, yet there are many in the NAR and Word Faith Movement who buy into these claims as genuine miracles. This man has spoken at a church in CA named Bethel in Redding. He claims on his website to have raised over 400 people from the dead! And not one of them has testified to give glory to God? Even one of the ten cured lepers returned to thank Jesus. No one has come to give testimony and praise?? Thankfully he is not nearly as well known as some of the other “Faith Healers” –

  33. OK now this man claims he can drive underwater! For what purpose? Jesus talks to his dog and horse? Huh?? Why???Is this guy for real? What bothers me is he has spoken at several churches my wife respects and listens to on web stream. I have listened to several teachings on the so called “impartation” of the Holy Spirit and the Toronto Blessing. The way the people rolled, shook, made sounds (some like animals)
    can be seen on videos made there – but also videos of New Age and Hindu spirits’ impartation show their adherents making the identical movements and sounds! Where in Scripture are these behaviors found? Where is drunkenness in the spirit found? Where is holy laughter found? This stuff is dangerous and may cause harm to many. We must be discerning today brothers and sisters. Don’t fall for these false teachings!

  34. I saw this guy David Hogan at SpiritWord in Stilfontein, South Africa. He claims all these things as mentioned by all you before me, and yet there was no change to a crippled young man after he prayed for him 3 times. Stay away from these people, they love the slain in the spirit, but which spirit? I believe in miracles because God healed both me and my wife (no pastors hands, just prayer and faith that God would do it) but these guys go over the top, get them out of your church.

  35. It has been nearly 20 years that I was first exposed to David Hogan when I saw the video tapes of when he was at Brownsville school of Ministry back around 1997. I found it incredibly inspiring and I have watch those 4 videos in excess of 50 times probably. They increased my desire to know Jesus and read my Bible more. But looking back I can say that they ALso caused me to put my eyes on “the man David Hogan” a lot more than I realized. It has taken me many many years to realize that. I have never been to his work but way back in 1999 I wrote him and he wrote me back inviting me to come. I never went for some reason. I have gone to a couple of his meetings up here in Minnesota. I have had the same experience that every other person who has written on here have had: no real tangible anointing. No notable miracles. And I did leave feeling quite disappointed. I think lesson learned is that I was there with my eyes on man looking for miracles.
    So even though I still watch his videos now and then, I now watch them with a different eye. His “nature“ and his “aggressive“ mannerisms don’t exactly seem like the nature of the “new man” to me. And the stories just really do get as others have described them “over-the-top.“ and, there is that issue about the fact that he really can’t seem to teach or preach the word of God. He will read one or two scriptures and then that’s it – it’s all stories the rest of the night.
    Many of us would like to believe that the stories that he tells to be true – me included. The dead raising’s, the healings; wading through a raging river and having it not take him away with it; being Translated after launching off a cliff in error on a motorcycle and then the next instant, waking up in the village he was on his way to that was many miles in the opposite direction, etc etc. But the longer he is around and the more churches he speaks in and tells more stories and does not demonstrate what he preaches, there’s going to come a point when The Truth is going to catch up with him.

    If he indeed is not being truthful and the testimonies against him are true, I sincerely pray that he would repent and receive God‘s mercy before he is destroyed.

  36. I saw him speak last night…..never witnessed anything so disturbing in a church before in my entire life. My spirit of discernment was pinging loud and clear. Spent a few hours today researching him here on the internet, only to discover gobs of back-up to my discerning spirit….which lent validity to the gut-wrenching ache in my soul last night. I believe he is a charlatan of the highest order.

    • Hi Ronald. I dont believe for 1 second he’s a charlatan. I believe every story is true. Just because people limit God doesnt mean these things cant happen. Whenever ive heard him speak he talks about the love and Perfection of God. And if it were true he is being false (which i dont believe to be true ) thats betwern him and God. Its not up to us to judge.

      • I have come to the conclusion, that as the other man said God can do whatever He wants and has told us to do all these things. I have personally had to deal w/ my own mind w/ unbelief, not saying you personally, I have decided in my mind not to speak evil of anyone no matter what, that’s between them and God, so I will speak life.. I met david Hogan one time, he seemed cool and you know I believe in America we are full of unbelief sadly, I pray that we come to have faith!

        • Jon, I respect your desire not to speak badly of anyone, but may I say that we scripture shows the apostles warned others of bad ministers. So it is not wrong to do, and in fact is good if we can help others avoid false teachers. For instance, in 2 John we read this from the apostle John: “3Jn 1:9 I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say.
          3Jn 1:10 For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not receive the brethren, either, and he forbids those who desire to do so and puts them out of the church.
          3Jn 1:11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
          3Jn 1:12 Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself; and we add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true.
          So here we see an apostle warning people about a Christian leader (Diotrephes) and recommending another instead (Dementrius). Speakers such as David Hogan are a discredit to Jesus — telling stories that are not true and taking money that should be put to better use. I for one would like to know about such people before I give them any money. Years ago I mentioned one false Russian minister to an American pastor, who thanked me as he was about to send a lot of money to this false minister. Instead he sent it to a truly deserving ministry. He did not know what I knew from having been a missionary in Russia for 14 years. Some people have said we should not worry about what is done with our money – that it is between that minister and God. However we are called to be good stewards of God’s money, and to give it to a false ministry is bad stewardship. I should be careful to give only to those who truly honor Christ in their lives and ministries, and to do that I need to ask questions and know the truth. Blessings to you.

      • We are not to judge those outside the church BUT those in the church, who are not living in love AND truth, we are told to judge. It requires discernment and assessment (or judgement). This is key so that God’s people do not get deceived. I Corinthians 5:12 is clear on this matter. In the latter days, there will be deceivers, even of the elect were it possible as Matthew 24:24 states. In this case, the performance of the signs and wonders mentioned in Matthew 24:24 seem to be lacking though.

      • so all the people who have first hand knowledge (because they worked on his compound) and the fact that there are no verifiable healings or resurrections makes you not question him? Wow.

    • I have had exactly the same thing happen me. Thank you to you AND ALL the folks sharing on this thread. Let us pray for God to expose what is not of Him while there is still time for David and his family to repent. They must know of the deception, being brought up with it. My spirit is grieved and I pray earnestly that this comes out now and is exposed in Jesus Name.

  37. 1 Corinthians we learn that gifts of healing , gift of miracles, etc .are given to individuals by God, and our calling likewise, Hogan tries to shame the body for not doing what he says he does. The word says ” do all have the gift to heal? are all workers of miracles? all all called to the jungle? NO. You take his word and you will end up in the flesh with a religious fanatical spirit.

  38. I went to one of his services in Brits North West SA last night, he is so obsessed with himself, he keeps on looking down whilst talking…eye contact is a main ingredient for communication…your eyes are the window of your soul…keep reminding the audience how aggressive he can become….really?… can’t stick to one story and none of his numbers given during the night regarding raising the dead adds up…over 600..then 36??? Never experience any anointing except during praise & worship….a big NO-NO…how many people is this guy misleading….felt sorry for people who came for healing and nothing…rather stay away….trust completely in God and keep on working on your relationship with God than anything else – do not trust in man…all I can say.

  39. Thank you to everyone who has taken time to comment on this. I arrived at this site due to the unrest I felt when I watched some of DH’s videos. This has only increased with time (some people I know think he is wonderful so I tried to persevere as I thought it must be me who had the problem) I could not sense the spirit of God on him, and instead had an increasing unease growing in my gut, the more of his ‘teaching’/stories I watched. My heart is grieved as I believe there is deception at work in a great measure. Even at this point, I will gladly eat humble pie if anyone can put me at ease and somehow provide assurance that his words are true. Not just what he is saying, but someone who has worked long enough with him to verify the claims as eye witnesses. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 and let us discern with wisdom in regard to what is going on INSIDE the church, as Paul says 1 Corinthians 5:12.

  40. I Was turned onto Hogan back in the late 90s and was intrigued and inspired by the hope that was presented. Unfortunately after following hogan over the years I’ve come to conclude that he is a modern charliton that worships almighty dollar. He will come to his demise one day and will be held accountable for his sins just like the rest of us. What I’ve come away with is a lifelong practice of prayer and fasting both personally and corporately which always produces a fruitful outcome measured out by the Holy Spirits standards. If truth and freedom in Christ is what we seek our God will always provide and answer if we persist. May God have mercy on Hogan’s soul. Apostates like will meet their maker and get their just deserves.

  41. I have a lot of respect for Curry Blake (JGLM) and I was wondering if he still endorses David Hogan as he has in the past. It was through Blake that I ever heard of Hogan.

  42. It’s sad to say that I have actually been encouraged by the fact that hogan is possibly a fraud. I like many have wanted to believe the stories due to a high belief that God is able to do anything and nothing shall be impossible to those who believe.
    I personally have seen him speak twice. One time I had a seized back and crawled into the church feeling completely humiliated as I had to get help carrying me in. I had him lay hands on me and I crawled out again feeling so discouraged that God had forsaken me and I was unworthy and all sorts of negative things. I still have back trouble to this day, 15 years later. I was once also under the opinion that you should simply pray and fast and not give up and trust God and He will come through for healing. My wife and I tried this several times with our sick daughter to the point of her nearly dying before calling an ambulance. I have since changed my stance on this, 6 years on, and just today getting back out from hospital again with our daughter due to her condition. We have learned more about trusting God through the suffering and hardships we have endured than if she had been healed when we first tried to pray.

    I still though am not quick to make an assessment on Hogan based on not personally seeing evidence for myself as I know that God can work behind the scenes in the poor countries where people are richer in faith than our western culture and maybe even hidden from view. Also the scriptures say blessed are you when all men speak evil of you, and cast out your name as evil for My name’s sake, for so persecuted the prophets who were before you. So I don’t just go off others opinions of someone.
    However, there are several scriptures that do come to mind: “You shall know them by their fruits” which has been brought up several times in this thread. “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” “The devils ministers transform themselves into angels of light.” “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers.” “Do men gather grapes from thistles of figs from thorns?” “No flesh shall glory in His presence.” “But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

    It’s the fruits that I disagree with that give me the most cause for concern not the lack of evidence. I know God is able to do all of those things that he speaks of, whether or not he actually did them through Hogan is another matter.” But thank you to the people who have personally lived and walked with David, first hand experience weighs greatly and that evidence of the fruits is hard to deny.

  43. Saw Hogan recorded at a relatives church. Early on, his boasts about distance running, travelling the world, and raising hundreds of people from the dead seemed like tall tales. Never any proof of anything he said. And the jumping and Whoop whoop chant he exhibited were more than creepy, along with his strange laughter at nothing. Just stops talking and laughs. My feelings about his apparent fraud are more than confirmed by people who have known him in his inner circle. A circle I would never want to join. A creepy fake who is full of himself.
