Christ’s Uttermost Ability To Save

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
(Hebrews 7:25)

Oh, forget every thing that seems worthy in you, or done by you.

Let all your triumphing and glorying be in the free grace of God, in Christ.

Look upon yourselves only in that, in Him, and all things coming to you, receive as flowing from that fountain only: and if you have more ability than others in doing, let it NOT come into your thoughts as an inducement to think better of ourselves, as if more accepted of God, or pleasing in His sight.

Are we sinful, in respect of the prevalency of corruptions?

Are the temptations of Satan mighty?

Think not that we are worse, or less than others; for iniquity shall not part Christ and the believer, if once we are joined to Him.

Be not discouraged, Christ is more ready to receive than gone astray sheep ready to fly to Him.

Come to Him and therefore cast your conditions upon Him.

The greatest of sinners, usually, are the persons that partake of the greatest mercies: publicans and harlots enter into the kingdom of heaven, while the zealots and Pharisees are shut out.

If you once close with the LORD, in the freeness of his grace (the only way authorized by the Bible), and cast your souls upon this rock of your salvation, the LORD CHRIST, you are past danger. He Himself shall miscarry if a single one of His little ones be not eternally saved.

No person, whether recipient or detractor can diminish His “uttermost ability”.
