The vast majority of preachers in our day, while claiming to believe that “Salvation is of the LORD” (Jonah 2:9), actually preach that sinners save themselves. They clearly and boldly proclaim that the Holy Father loves all sinners and wills their salvation; that the eternal and incarnate Son of God loves and died to save all sinners; and that God the Holy Spirit is striving to save all sinners. Consequently, they declare unto men and women, “God has done all that he can do. Now it is all up to you.”

One of their own camp, a Doctor and Professor of Theology, carries this teaching to its logical and ultimate conclusion. After saying that “the triune God has done, is doing, and always will do all that the triune God can do to save every man, woman and child on this earth,” he raises the issue of Hell. “What is Hell?” he asks. “It is in an infinite negation. It is infinite chaos. And it is much more than that ……Hell is a ghastly monument to the failure of the triune God to save the multitudes who are there……Sinners go to Hell because God Almighty himself cannot save them. He did all he could. He failed.”

This, my brothers and Sisters, is not according to the Word of God (Isaiah 8:20). It is another god, another spirit, and another gospel! The only true God says, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:10).
