“And all the angels stood round about the throne…saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.”

As the angels worshipped the Lord Jesus Christ, notice what the angels said concerning the gospel of Christ…sevenfold description of the gospel:

1) Blessing

Our Lord is blessed in Himself and is the source, fountain and spring of all spiritual blessings to others including angels and sinners (Psalm 103:1; Ephesians 1:3).

2) Glory

Our Saviour is the Lord of glory; all glory is due His name; all His works of creation, providence and salvation are glorious; (Romans 11:36; 1st Corinthians 1:30; Galatians 6:14).

3) Wisdom

In Christ are hid all the treasures of the wisdom of God; (Colossians 2:3); He is the only wise God our Saviour; (1st Timothy 1:17; Psalm 85:10).

4) Thanksgiving

“In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ concerning you.” (1st Thessalonians 5:18)

5) Honour

From all His creatures for He is their Creator (John 1:3); from all the sons of God, for Christ is the Author of salvation; from all His servants, for He is their Lord; (Acts 2:36; Philippians 2:7-9).

6) Power

All power in saving and preserving His people; (Matthew 28:18; John 17:2; 1st Peter 1:5).

7) Might

Sovereignty or strength; “He is mighty to save;” (Isaiah 63:1; Psalm 135:5).

All these things the Lord Jesus Christ is forever and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He will never be diminished in His glory and power, we say with the angels…AMEN!!!!

“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
