“Daily Sacrifice” – Scripture Study
- Christ is our Daily, continual light of truth, by His word.
tamiyd, taw-meed’; continuance (as indef. extension); but used only (attributively as adj.) constant (or adv. constantly); ellipt. the regular (daily) sacrifice:– alway (-s), continual (employment, -ly), daily, ([n-]) ever (-more), perpetual.
Daniel 8:11 – Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily (tamiyd) was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
Daniel 8:12 – And an host was given him against the daily (tamiyd) sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.
Daniel 8:13 – Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily, (tamiyd) and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
Daniel 11:31 – And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily, (tamiyd) and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Daniel 12:11 – And from the time that the daily (tamiyd) shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Exodus 30:8 – And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual (tamiyd) incense (prayer in the will of God) before the LORD throughout your generations.
Exodus 30:9 – Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.
Leviticus 24:2 – Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
Leviticus 24:3 – Without the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually (tamiyd): it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
Leviticus 24:4 – He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually (tamiyd).
Leviticus 24:5 – And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
Leviticus 24:6 – And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
Leviticus 24:7 – And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Leviticus 24:8 – Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
Psalm 16:8 – I have set the LORD always (tamiyd) before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psalm 40:11 – Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually (tamiyd) preserve me.
Psalm 40:16 – Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually (tamiyd), The LORD be magnified.
Ezekiel 46:15 – Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual (tamiyd) burnt offering.
