Perfectly Righteous – In Christ
When a person believes and receives our Lord Jesus Christ, he is at that moment (in God’s sight) as if he had never sinned at all.
I will go a step further than this!
When we receive our Lord, we are in a much better position then if we had never sinned at all. For if we had never sinned, we would trust our own righteousness and we would be subject to fall as Adam did (who had never sinned).
But now we have His perfect righteousness, which cannot ever fail, nor fall!
When the fig leaves of self are gone – we have the robe of His perfect obedience forever!
“For He hath clothed me with the garment of salvation – He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness.”
(Isaiah 61:10)
