A Short Study of 1st Corinthians 11:16
1 Corinthians 11:16
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Essentially when Paul here says that “if any man seem be contentious we have no such custom, neither the churches of God”, he is meaning that we have no such custom of contending against this truth.
He isn’t referring to the practice of head coverings as the ‘custom’, but the contention, and he is indicating that none of the churches at that time contended against the practice, which was observed in all the churches. Unlike today.
