Jeremiah 51:6
Flee out of the midst of Babylon [the defiled worldly congregations ruled over by Satan in the very end of time allowing the world’s policies (Daniel 8:23-25) inside her doors], and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance [the Day of the LORD]; he will render unto her a recompence.

We first read about the end-time Babylon in Revelation Chapter 14, where in God mentioned the worship of the beast and its image and those who receive the mark of the beast on their forehead or on their hand will face His full wrath. In Revelation 14:8-9, the Word of God states:

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,” (Revelation 14:8-9)

Verse eight emphasizes that she has fallen because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Surely, this Babylon is related to the beast and its image. The beast is Satan, and the image of the beast is the likeness or similitude taken out of context from the pure Word of God. In otherwords, it is the idea of chipping away or carving out graven images from God’s pure holy Word of truth and creating false doctrines, which are spiritual high places within the defiled corporate congregations. I can prove only by the grace of God that the Babylon of Revelation 14:8-9 is indeed the congregations of today by going to the last verse of Revelation 18, where we can find this concluding statement concerning this Babylon:

Revelation 18:24
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Moreover, in Revelation l7:6 it was written:

Revelation 17:6
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Does this indictment of murder apply to the worldwide organized/corporate congregations of New Testament Israel during the period of the abomination of desolation leading up to Judgment Day?

What a terrible idea many would say!

In fact, it does indeed apply to the worldwide organized congregations.

Let us examine a principle that Christ enunciated in Luke 13:33-34:

“…for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee …” (Luke 13:33-34)

The Lamb of God is saying that the ones who murder the prophets are the ones within the organized congregations. Remember, the congregations are of the New Testament Israel, also called Jerusalem and Judah. The blessed Messiah is saying not only do they murder the prophets, but that the prophets are murdered (mostly in a spiritual sense – silenced – cut off – cast out) by the organized church bodies within the Christendom, the Great City, and not by the outside world. At first this may seem surprising, but it is understandable when we realize that the world in general does not distinguish between the true Gospel and false gospels.

Therefore, they desire to kill all religions of the world, and they will kill individuals of all gospels. The holy place is the New Testament temple of God, the earthly church which is the representation of Messiah’s eternal Church. The Abomination of Desolation can only take place within the outer courts of this church, for within the true temple are His true elect and thus they cannot be deceived by Satan. Let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains, Jesus tells us. This absolutely cannot be speaking of only those people who live in the ancient geographical area once called Judaea. No, the New Testament Judaea is yet another symbol or type of Messiah’s New Testament church, the Israel of God.

Even more emphatically, the Holy Bible states in Matthew 23:34-35:

“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.” (Matthew 23:34-35)

Note the similar language of Revelation 18:24 and Matthew 23:35:

Revelation 18:24: “of all that were slain upon the earth.”

Matthew 23:35: “all the righteous blood shed upon the earth.”

In John 16:2, Jesus states that the chosen believers are driven out of the synagogues (the place where believers were to gather not forsaken the assembling of ourselves together – Hebrews 10:25), and this is spoken of as the killing of the saints.

One last proof that Babylon represents the corporate congregations during the abomination of desolation at the very end of time is found in Revelation 18:2, as it was written:

“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold [prison] of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

Notice that this verse says that Babylon “is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit.”

If Babylon here in Revelation represented just the outside world, God would not have used the phrase “is become” because the world has always been the habitation of devils since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.

However, now that Satan has invaded and conquered the corporate congregations and now rules in a majority of them, they will become the habitation of devils and the prison of every foul spirit during the final dark days of great tribulation in the upcoming days.

So, this verse helps to confirm that we have properly understood that Babylon here represents the congregations turned spiritual harlot at the very end of time starting with the abomination of desolation followed by the final days of the great tribulation and finally Judgment Day.
