The Born Again Experience – Part 2
Let’s look at John 3:2
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Nicodemus, a teacher himself of the Jews, came to Jesus by night. Many believe he came to Jesus by night so he would not been seen by the religious leaders of that day; for the religious leaders of that day do not believe in Christ.
Nicodemus calls Jesus a Rabbi – which means teacher, even though Jesus never went through the formal training of the Pharisees as Nicodemus did. Nicodemus admits Jesus must be from God because of the miracles Jesus did- physical miracles of healing.
These healings were done to testify that Jesus was not only come from God, but that He was the Messiah – the Savior. Those of us who believe can read the scriptures and believe the testimony of the only Savior the world will ever know – the Lord Jesus:
1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Those of us who have been “born again” believe this testimony of Jesus. Nicodemus had been yet to been born again. If we find ourselves believing His Word, let us praise Him!
