Was he going well then, or is it tha to give someone like him a chance to repent, He still uses them for a while? Like on occasion, even when Saul was chasing David to kill him, he ended up prophesying! Yet his heart never changed…?

I worked with Hogan for several years (as a missionary with Freedom Ministries) and am still close to several, who worked with him during the same time period, NONE of which are still with him.
I finally was lied to enough by him to leave. Of course, he labeled me as a ‘devil’ as he does everyone that leaves him. And make no mistake, I was in the inner circle with him and spent years in the jungles of Mexico right along side him, so I AM qualified as a witness to his claims.
My take on David Hogan after several years with him is that he is, and has been for several decades, out of control and held accountable by no one.
He wants to be ‘somebody’ so bad that he’s willing to spin these false claims to bolster his image. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of those needing, and looking for, the real thing. He is an actor and a story teller. Jesus is the real thing.
I thought he would finally see what he was doing and gradually make a change, but he has only gotten worse. It boggles the mind that good christian people are drawn in by him.
If you want to see if he is for real, cut his money off, as this has become his motivation. If God is with him, HE will TRULY perform a miracle, and I will stand corrected.
He once boasted that he was going to be given 6 BILLION dollars, yes – “6 BILLION with a B”. AND, this money was going to come from, what was known at that time as, the G7 SANCTION. There was a couple of years of mysterious meetings surrounding this 6 BILLION dollar story, but he would never reveal any of his contacts or sources. Several of us finally realized that he had become, among other things, mentally incapacitated.
These type stories have no end, and it continues to this day. It sickens me that I was so dumb to believe him for so long. However, it was a lesson in discernment, and for that, I am thankful to God!

I agree with this post – D.E. says clearly in his book “Sovereign God” that God created the devil! What a blasphemy – God never created devil he created a sinless angel called Lucifer meaning a bearer of light. The free will gave a chance for Lucifer to fall God is not the father of evil its the devil. God is thte father of all the good J.1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.” No God is not the author of evil! And concerning the fruits of D.E. is the reason I have deleted his book from my website in Czech and Engl. as well – after I was told about some new believers falling into some occult practices after reading the book “Sovereign God…” I am sorry for posting it there – I see all those errors now! He is correct on those tithes and other few things but after that there are a lot of dangerous doctrines! Jesus is Lord and God bless you dear!

The question asked is how does Dispensationalism depart from the gospel. In essence , dispensationalism preaches two gospels, for the majority of those who come to Christ , it is believing by faith , for the Jews however , Dispy’s assert that they will believe when they see Christ returning. Two entities, two gospels and a multitude of problems.

The Common Grace I came to understand is God hates all workers of iniquity but for His purpose provides the same air we breathe, the same food we eat, the same law we follow and the same jobs, etc. that sustains us to live on this earth. He doesn’t provide salvation to none but His elect nor does He make special provision for those who despise Him save for His express purpose. The common grace Bro Angus mentions is based on a general atonement type attitude which I believe is held by Arminians.

My eyes have been like Jeremiah’s over the deception of dispensationalism and its resulting problems for the Church.However I encourage myself in the Lord and press on. Paul had ample time and space to preach this doctrine in Romans 11, but he spoke of one olive tree and not two. There is only one body of Christ just as there is only one olive tree; with Gentile, who were of the wild olive being grafted into the cultivated olive, and the unbelieving Jews were broken off their own cultivated olive, but God is able, not to give them a new olive, but to graft them again into their own olive tree. Here O Israel the thy God is ONE! There is one Mediator between God and man! There is one Church! One King! one Lord and Savior of all. I pray for all my brothers and sisters who are experiencing scorn for honoring Christ as the all sufficient Savior of all His Elect.

I too have the same thoughts as most of you. The 1st time I heard him on youtube something didnt click. So, like many of you, I researched and researched and could not find out one thing to back up some of the things he is saying happened. I kept listening for a revelation of the word that he would share, and finally just let the truth sink in…..he does not share from the word of God, he just tells about all the miracles, signs and wonders,that “he” has performed,,,,always somewhere else. I kept looking to see if any in the meetings were healed or got out of a wheelchair and thinking…if this man flows in this kind of anointing, surely someone is out there needing a healing or deliverance or something, and surely he will know that and call them out. Nothing. These are the days were many will be deceived, but we are so desperate for signs, etc. we just forget that the whole time he is talking, do we really hear “Jesus, the blood, or the cross” mentioned? We are to lift Jesus up, not ourselves or what He is doing through us as to bring glory to ourselves. The scary thing is he runs in the circles of well-known ministries that we all have partaken of and I am wondering….Lord, how can they not see through this man. (if nothing else note that he is not sharing the word of God) Most people will say, this is judging without really knowing what it is themselves. I do know that when we see something wrong and do not warn others, it is the same as to agreeing with error. Why are there no evidence, why isnt some magazine article written with verifiable testimonies. Every number of the dead being raised is different on every writing ( it’s now up to 500) one would think with this many raised, surely there would be a written article from someone. THis only makes me feel sad, that we are so easily deceived. If something shows up in the future, I for one will have to ask for forgiveness,,,,,if not, I trust this will cause our eyes and attention to become fixed upon Jesus!

It is heresy… Plain and simple. Hebrews (Not a favorite book of the Dispensationalists) states clearly Chapter 10:8-10 “`Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering Thou didst not will, nor delight in,’ — which according to the law are offered — 9 then he said, `Lo, I come to do, O God, Thy will;’ he doth take away the first that the second he may establish; 10 in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,”
The old covenant is gone…. Was God happy with that? No! For the psalmist says (Psalm 40:6-8) “6 Sacrifice and present Thou hast not desired, Ears Thou hast prepared for me, Burnt and sin-offering Thou hast not asked. 7 Then said I, `Lo, I have come,’ In the roll of the book it is written of me, 8 To do Thy pleasure, my God, I have delighted, And Thy law [is] within my heart.
What is it that Jesus requires??? Getting to the heart of the matter… (John 4:23-24) “23 but, there cometh an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also doth seek such to worship him; 24 God [is] a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.’”
God does not require more animal sacrifices nor will he accept them…. They were just a shadow of that which was fulfilled – once and for all – in Christ.
Dispensationalists make many of the same errors that the Pharisees of Christ’s time made. 1) They elevate the teachings of men over the plain writing of scripture. They mangle the definitions of words to fit their theology such as translating soon into 1000′s of years, change generation into race. 2) They start with the old testament instead of beginning with it’s proper interpretation as found in the inspired writing of the New Testament. Ephesians 3 – “3 For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations, 2 if, indeed, ye did hear of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you, 3 that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words] — 4 in regard to which ye are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit — 6 that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news, 7 of which I became a ministrant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;” The truth of the Old Testament prophecies and to be revealed by the Spirit of God. The Jews studied the texts looking for clues regarding Christ. But the truth of Him, again, can only be found by abiding in His Spirit.
Where did this heresy come from? Well it must have been the Devil – for as surely as it is a lie, and the Devil is the fathers of all lies and liars, it follows that it is indeed his spawn.
God’s Kingdom has come. Not visibly – because it is within you. Where is Christ? Seated at the right hand of God the Father. What is he doing? Ruling the nations with a rod of iron and making intercession for the saints.
How do we know this? Cause the Bible says it plainly – no word warping required here. Let us see. Hebrews Chapter 1:13 “13 And unto which of the messengers said He ever, `Sit at My right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?’” and Psalm 110 “A Psalm of David. The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: `Sit at My right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.’ 2 The rod of thy strength doth Jehovah send from Zion, Rule in the midst of thine enemies. 3 Thy people [are] free-will gifts in the day of Thy strength, in the honours of holiness, From the womb, from the morning, Thou hast the dew of thy youth. 4 Jehovah hath sworn, and doth not repent, `Thou [art] a priest to the age, According to the order of Melchizedek.’ 5 The Lord on thy right hand smote kings In the day of His anger. 6 He doth judge among the nations, He hath completed the carcases, Hath smitten the head over the mighty earth. 7 From a brook in the way he drinketh, Therefore he doth lift up the head! and in Acts Chapter 7:54-56 we find at the stoning of Stephen “54 And hearing these things, they were cut to the hearts, and did gnash the teeth at him;
55 and being full of the Holy Spirit, having looked stedfastly to the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 and he said, `Lo, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.’” and Paul writes in I Corinthians Chapter 15:20-26 “20 And now, Christ hath risen out of the dead — the first-fruits of those sleeping he became, 21 for since through man [is] the death, also through man [is] a rising again of the dead, 22 for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive, 23 and each in his proper order, a first-fruit Christ, afterwards those who are the Christ’s, in his presence, 24 then — the end, when he may deliver up the reign to God, even the Father, when he may have made useless all rule, and all authority and power — 25 for it behoveth him to reign till he may have put all the enemies under his feet — 26 the last enemy is done away — death;” and lastly (Although not by any means exhaustively) Revelation 12:1-5 “And a great sign was seen in the heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars, 2 and being with child she doth cry out, travailing and pained to bring forth. 3 And there was seen another sign in the heaven, and, lo, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his head seven diadems, 4 and his tail doth draw the third of the stars of the heaven, and he did cast them to the earth; and the dragon did stand before the woman who is about to bring forth, that when she may bring forth, her child he may devour; 5 and she brought forth a male child, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, and caught away was her child unto God and His throne,”

Again, the bible clearly teaches us, that Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, ruling the nations with a rod of iron, and making intercession for his saints. He will continue to do this until all his enemies have been conquered – placed under his feet. Then and only then will He hand over the Kingdom (His Sacntified Ones or Saints) to God the Father so that He may all in all.

Why don’t they Dis[pensationalists understand. They live in darkness. They have turned away from God and have said “I can do it. I can study and know they way of God”. In short they deny the working pof the Holy Spirit and are blind.

We are the New Jerusalem, God’s Holy Temple, The Body of Christ The Kingdom of God, if of course we have been born of the Spirit and God’s Holy Spirit lives within us. If you haven’t been born of the Spirit, you are spiritually blind – dead in in your sins, unable to comphrehend spiritual truths and therefore in natural denial of those things which can only be understood spiritually. You will make up earthly substitutes in order to try to make sense of those things which are spiritual and consequently only spiritually understood. You also will live in fear of things – The antichrist, The beast, etc. etc. – which are not gods and are of by their nature subordinate to God. You will search the papers for answers – the meaning pof prophecy. You will look to earthly rulers for order and protection etc. WHEN YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING TO CHRIST.

Stop with the foolishness. Turn to God. Ask Him to show (Convict) you of your sin. Admit (Confess) the truth of it before Him. Turn from your ways (Repent) and ask of His help in doing so. As k for his help in living you life by the Spirit. Self centered self help isn’t. Our God is gracious and merciful. He is the Way, The Truth, and The Life

May God have mercy on our Dispensationalist friends. Amen

I am kinda new to Mr. Piper and still trying to figure him out. Thanks for this site, as I like to look at all angles of the argument. I would personally love to sit with him about this creation topic and smack him upside the head with the Bible. That view he just claimed as his only is not only heretical, it smacks of ignorance and a clear lack of respect for God’s Word. If the Holy Spirit didn’t mean “six literal days” when He talked about creation in Genesis, what did He mean in the Ten Commandments when He said (in Exodus 20:11) “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them..”

I always believe that God always make it clear to all his Children in the end who the real heretics are. There is no doubt that those people are preaching heresies. The fact that they are still being accepted shows the sinfulness of the people rather then just a matter of being deceived. People are deceived many times not because of ignorant but because of choice.

It’s pretty amazing that so called ‘reformed’ Christians still accept John Piper as a legitimate bible teacher despite the fact that he associates himself with Rick Warren. Even if you do not read the book just a simple google search of president inauguration, Rick Warren and muslim should give you a simple clue as to what Rick Warren stand for. The fact that this hypocrate actually stands for both calvanism and armineanism, two ideals that are opposite of each other really shows that he is the real chameleon of the reformed movement not Rick Warren. It’s a pity that this website was written so early that I am not able to chip in with my idea. Most Reformed Christian actually say that John Piper has slided into heresy. But then how can you believe that a true Christian can actually back slide? This pretty shows that most of those reformed teachers may know predestination in theory but they cannot actually apply it in practice. The thing is that as you have identified. John Piper has always been a heretic since the beginning. Just that since he wants to be identified with the reformed people, he has to make his teaching more ‘reformed’. But once he see the need not to do that, he reveals his true self more and more. You see. This guy was never filled with the holy spirit. His teachings reflect that. The people who generally follow him are the deceived who wants to get the best of both world in reformed theology as well as a feeling orientated theologu.
And I feel that despite the name reformed theology that many christians wants to associate themselves with, I really think that those people are not interested in the truth at all. Sure they are interested in knowledge but definitely not the truth. If they were interested in the truth they would have investigate Piper’s past instead of just saying that he has backslided. In fact you are right in saying that Piper followers are cult like. They keep on salivating his heresy saying that they are right without even critically analyzing what this new heresies this Piper is saying . To me he is much much worse then Rick Warren. He is a person who does not even seem to know what is his right hand and his left and he is willing to teach the ‘truth’ as long as he can teach lies in the end. I have a real hatred for this guy and I really cannot understand how a ‘Christian’ like him can really deceive everyone by openly endorsing both calvanism and armineanism. The fact that he can actually endorse both shows that he is devoid of any conscience. It’s not a matter of backsliding. He is always one of them and he is the worst of the lot.
