He’s right about us women always worried about what might happen. My dad always said I “borrow the Jack.” The story is of a man who gets a flat in the middle of the night. He thinks all the way to the lit farmhouse in the distance about all the trouble he is going to put the occupant to. He thinks about how mad the farmer is going to be to be awakened in the middle of the night and how he might curse him, etc. The man finally reaches the farmhouse, knocks, the farmer comes to the door and the guy screams I didn’t need your darn Jack! and slams the door. LoL. I’m not good at re-telling jokes.
The story of Abraham and Isaac has always been a tough one for me. Thanks for this sermon!
